Blender Version
Broken: 3.5.6
Worked: NA
Blender refuses to render parts of my project file. For example, I have been trying to render the water in my file and block out the Battleship. I tried rendering as normal and Blender will crash. So, I use Flip Fluids CMD rendering option and I just black renders with nothing in them or it skips random frames.
I’ve also been getting the “illegal address in cuda queue copy_from_device” error.
Every time I try to render any large Flip Fluids scenes I have nothing but problems. Could this strictly be a Flip issue, Blender issue, hardware issue, or a combination of all?
Here’s the file: it’s around 1GB.

Sounds like "out of VRAM" to me. Does CPU rendering work?
And please make sure to use the latest GPU driver.
Hello, thank you for your reply.
Yes, I have updated the drivers. I have not tried rendering with CPU. I’ll try that tonight and see what I get.
perhaps related: #114035
as of right now, CPU seems to be working correctly. It will fail with GPU. :(
Hi, please share logs and possibly a simplified .blend file (~1gb file does not help for investigating the bug)
Please open Blender's installation directory and double click on the
blender_debug_gpu.cmd
. This will start Blender in debug mode and create log files. Try to reproduce theerror again. Once it crashes or you close Blender manually the Windows Explorer should open and show you up to two files, a debug log and the system information. Add them
to your bug report by clicking on the upload button as shown in the screenshot below or via drag and drop. Please also upload the crash log located in
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\Temp\[project name].crash.txt
(or simply type%TEMP%
into the path bar of the Windows Explorer). No activity for more than a week. As per the tracker policy we assume the issue is gone and can be closed.
Thanks again for the report. If the problem persists please open a new report with the required information.
