EEVEE Next: Motion blur artifact when deform modifier and GPU subdivision are used #114775

Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
If a mesh object has a deform-related modifier (or Geometry Nodes) and Subdivision Surface modifier, and GPU Subdivision is enabled, enabling motion blur in EEVEE Next shows artifacts.

The Geometry Nodes above is the default node group with only Geometry Input and Output nodes.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Make sure GPU Subdivision option is enabled, and switch the renderer to EEVEE (Next)
  • Turn on motion blur in render settings
  • Add one of the deform modifiers like Displace or Simple Deform to a mesh object. Or add Geometry Nodes with the default node group
  • Add Subdivision Surface modifier to it

I'm not marking it as a duplicate since the path to trigger it is a bit different but, for reference, this is the same underlying issue as #114144.
