Short description of error
In contrast with F2 for example to rename a strip, when you use R to set a strip's speed, you cannot type a new value until you use the mouse to click on the field.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Select a strip in VSE.
Press R.
Try to type new value.

Can confirm, but not sure if that is expected to have selected float value, unlike to string.

Hi, thanks for the report. This is not a bug I would say. Even Separate images operation edits single property though it does not allow selecting that property by default for editing. There have been many other operators that invokes WM_operator_props_popup on key press but do not activate the property to edit (for example: Set Goal Weight, curve radius).

The issue reported here is a request for modified/improved behavior and not a bug in current behavior. Closing as this bug tracker is only for bugs and errors.
