Short description of error
If I try to use Optix denoiser for viewport I get the error 'Failed to create OptiX denoiser'. The same thing happens if I render. It'll either give the same error or render a black screen.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
-Turn on OptiX in Cycles Render Devices
-Switch to OptiX in Viewport/Render denoiser
-Render file
Based on the default startup as well as any scene no matter the complexity.
Hi, thanks for the report. Do you use builds shared on blender website?: https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/ / https://www.blender.org/download/
Launch blender from command line with
--debug-gpu or --debug-cycles
argument, it may generate some relevant information about the error.I've recently started using linux, and currently I'm using the flatpak. I've used the site blender.org to test an older version (3.6) and that was the one that worked.
As for the debugs, these are the two lines I got. They were repeated numerous times:
-(gpu.debug): Notification : Program/shader state usage warning: A fragment program/shader is required to correctly render to an integer framebuffer.
With this burried in between:
EDIT: These two lines also appeared:
60 denoiser_gpu.cpp:119] GPU denoiser creation has failed.
(gpu.debug): Notification : Rasterization usage warning: Blending is enabled, but is not supported for integer framebuffers.
Thanks. If build from blender website is working correctly, I'd suggest to report the bug to flathub.
