Short description of error
Changing between "Thin" and "Default" in
Preferances - Interface - Line Width
doesn't seem to change anything when "Resolution Scale" is set to 1.00:I have to set "Resolution Scale" to minimum 1.78 to see the difference:
Hi, thanks for the report. I can confirm. As far as I understand, this is expected behavior.
With
ui_scale=1
andui_line_width=thin(-1)
, pixelsize will be 1 (i.e. default width) for normal HD monitors at default windows scale settings: https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/src/branch/main/source/blender/windowmanager/intern/wm_window.cc#L571With above parameters, difference will be noticeable on high dpi monitors.

@PratikPB2123 Makes sense, thanks for explanation.
This is by design
At resolution scale set to 1.0 on a regular monitor the "line width" will be one pixel when you select "Default" but will not get thinner than a single pixel so "Thin" gives the same result.
That Line Thickness setting does help our users with vision problems when changing to "Thick Lines". And it offers more options when using high-dpi displays.
Closing the report since this is expected.
