Short description of error
Blender shows global transform at the time of parenting, not actual transform, which makes the whole transform tab obsolete the moment you have nested objects.
Picture shows 3 cubes 1x1x1 meters, all 3 according to transform tab are located and rotated at 0 0 0, yet only the one with no parent is at that location and rotation, the other 2 share identical transform coordinates yet aren't even close to global nor local 0 0 0.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Cube.003 is located at 0 0 0, rotated 0 0 0.
Cube.001 is located at 0 0 0, rotated 0 0 0, is parent of Cube.003
Cube.002 is located at 0 0 0, rotated 0 0 0, is parent of Cube.003
How can we find the global location of Cube.001?
Here is the information available?

This is the same issue reported for example in #55103. And it is not considered a bug.
This is caused by the
Parent Inverse
, which you can Clear by using the operator.Se also:
#108513: Apply Parent inverse dose not take scale in to account
Not a bug AFAICS, so closing.
Feel free to comment if there is misunderstanding.
That tells me clearly you did not read what i said nor watch the 1 minute video i submitted, otherwise you wouldve noticed that the objects arent scaled.
And why im seeing a gray font on a gray background here? Looks like i submitted empty comment unless selected.
I apologize for the confusion caused. It seems the links to the documentation are outdated.
To better understand this behavior, you can refer to the updated documentation on
Parent Inverse
:I saw and I noticed, but a matrix involves not only scale, it also involves rotation and position. And the first issue pointed mentions exactly this (#55103).
This isn't a bug, it's by design, but since it causes so much confusion, perhaps it could be promoted to a Known Issue and a redesign discussed.
