System Information
Operating system: Windows-11
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

Blender Version
Broken: 4.0.2, branch: blender-v4.0-release, commit date: 2023-12-05 07:41, hash: 9be62e85b7
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error

Using default start up settings when opening Blender,

  1. Add any mesh (I'm using Suzanne) in the 3d viewport.
  2. Open Geometry Nodes editor/workspace (I'm switching the Timeline editor to Geometry Nodes editor).
  3. Attach a new geometry nodes modifier to the default cube.
  4. Add a Join Geometry node in between the Group Input and Group Output nodes.
  5. From the Outline editor, select Suzanne, drag, and drop Suzanne into Geometry Nodes editor.
  6. For the Object Info node that was created from dragging and dropping Suzanne, select Relative.
  7. Connect Object Info Node's Geometry socket to Join Geometry socket.
  8. In 3d Viewport select default cube and make a transformation (I used translate).

Suzanne does not stay in position of world space when translating. I actually found out about this peculiarity from a Scale Elements node in one of my node trees. I have since replaced every Object Info node that was dragged and dropped into the Geometry Nodes editor.
