System Information
Operating system: Windows 11 Home;
Graphics card: Radeon 7 with CPU Ryzen 5 5500U (Mobile);

Blender Version
Broken: (example: 4.1, as found on the splash screen)
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
I generate a point clouds and import inside Blender and display as mesh, in particular it doesn't show all the points cloud that represent the final 3D Scenario. Even when doing the translation from OBJ to GLB and import inside websites show same as OBJ initial file.

https://we.tl/t-VgBMB67CH0 (ZIP file with OBJ + textures)
https://we.tl/t-8rVpMx5sxb (.blend file)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Extract the zip file
  2. Open Blender
  3. Import OBJ
  4. See error

Seeing the same import as reported.

it doesn't show all the points

Question is: what exactly is missing? How is this supposed to look like?

Do you have a screenshot (or can detail in another way) of the expected result?

Dont think the "error" is in blender, here is what meshlab imports (this looks like what blender imports):

image

How (and from where) has this OBJ been exported?

The OBJ file has ~356k faces and ~180k vertices.
This is what blender imports, dont see anything wrong here (nothing missing)

The PLY has ~1128k vertices, no faces, also see nothing wrong with the import on the blender side.

What makes you think there is a discrepancy between the OBJ file and what blender imports?

If I would like to achieve the result from the website, how I should proceed, I mean as full scenario?

For this I think it would be better to reach out to Luma Captures, up until now I cannot spot anything wrong on the blender side.
Will close this report, feel to open a new report if you still think you've found a bug with the import side in blender.
