Can confirm.
In debug it triggered an assert prior to
BLI_polyfill_beautify
in the log, but it's inpack_islands() > finalize_geometry() > add_polygon()
where it stopped atBLI_assert(vert_count >= 3);
Although the script does call
o.data.validate()
it still did not get rid of all the invalid geometries.Yep, it seems a convex hull is computed for an island of points, but the points all have the same position, which results in
(vert_count = 1) <= 3
