Individual overrides get reverted after reopening the files.

Blender 4.1

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Link collection Isaac LINK from isaac b40 v48 test.blend
  2. Make Library Overrides.
  3. Select the Armature object Lancelot Rig Isaac
  4. For the armature itself, also create on override for it (Shift+click) in the Properties Editor
    image
  5. Select the Mesh object Body Teen
  6. For the meh itself, also create on override for it (Shift+click) in the Properties Editor
    image
  7. Save
  8. Reopen the file

The overriden Mesh and Armature Data are still present in the file, but not assigned to Armature and Character Objects.
The Mesh and Armature Data associated with the objects is still linked from the library file.
Even if I replace the data with the overriden one in the dropdown it gets back to original state after reopening the file.

Here's the character file attached:

EDIT:
It happens if the mesh or armature has hair curves as child. If these re removed from the library file, everything works as expected

The only way I could get the overrides not to reverse was deleting the hair curves from the link. Other option was making hair local

Override Armature Data and Mesh Data

Please explain exactly which datablocks to override (and how/where you did it)

Even if I replace the data with the overriden one in the dropdown

which dropdown?

Here's the video reproducing it.

The only way I found to make the overrides not get reverted to original state was to delete the hair curve objects or make hair objects local... IDK what's the relation.

@lichtwerk Let me know if it makes sense. If needed, I can provide a video with it working when there is no hair.

Can you confirm that? @lichtwerk

OK, I can now reproduce (sorry this took a while to answer)

Will update the report description to make this a bit easier to follow
