File Open Bookmark Items Grayed out. #120410

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: RTX 2060

Blender Version
Broken: 4.0.1
Worked: never noticed before now

Short description of error
While in the File Browser Dialog, the Bookmarks have two items that are grayed out.
Obviously the two grayed out items do not exist anymore in the file system

I cannot select them to delete them.

So, not sure if this is a bug or I if am doing something wrong.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Bookmarks work fine.
Its if I delete a folder outside of Blender then go into Blender, they are grayed out.

So, I am not sure out to removed the grayed out items

Hi @Pixelink.

This is a known issue. See:
#70911: File Browser: Can't Select/Delete Favorites Bookmark When File Path Is Missing

This has been an historical limitation for ages (read, the beginnings of Blender). A limited workaround was added some years ago (the 'Cleanup' option that will remove all invalid entries), but yeah, making invalid entries selectable is another task...

I would rather consider that as a TODO than a bug though. @JulianEisel may also be interested by that topic?

So, if this is so long ago, why isn't it fixed yet.

Since we have the cleanup solution, this is kind of not considered a bug anymore. But a ToDo, something that can be improved. It just doesn't have much of a priority.

What can I do now to delete those bookmarks?
