Quick Description
Average scale driver value become randomly 0 or infinity.

How to reproduce
Create a shader, a color ramp and link the color ramp to the surface output.
Create a single bone. Add a driver to the ramp fac relative to the bone and set in average scale and in local or transform space. Enable and disable the collection or move the timeline until the driver value is not equal to 1.
If that dont work add a scale constraint to the bone between 0 and 1 scale and retry.

Did you animate the scale value here? Can you share affected blend file?

Hello sorry for the delay, I could not send large files because of my weak connection. Here is the file where there is the bug, it affects the eyes of the character whose texture size is dependent on a bone.
I hope this helps you understand better.

Thanks for the file. Can confirm. I noticed 2 drivers controlling one property. Not sure how you did this but removing 2nd driver (z location) resolves this. Can you check?
