Hi @BAI , Could you provide us with a test file? Any older version you can correctly render? Thanks!

Only version 4.1 will have this problem, not version 4.0. In version 4.1, just create a new file and set the output pixel to 15000*10800 or above, and this will happen.

The following is a file I tested

It seems related to the use of GPU denoising, at least for me. If I use CPU denoising, it seems ok for a few frames I rendered. Does this reproduce for you if you unselect the following option:

grateful! If you remove it, you can indeed render normally.

Jesse Yurkovich changed title from When version 4.1 renders large-size images with pixel settings, they will appear completely black or become darker. to OIDN GPU denoise: Black/broken render when using large output image sizes 2024-04-17 09:27:25 +02:00

Seems like OIDN - GPU denoising just rans out of VRAM and tried to fall back to system ram like in #102115

First rendering, at denoising stage used 32GB of ram ( I have the A750 so only 8GB of Vram and my system has 64GB of ram )
I noticed "reading full buffer from disk" before denoising finished

I dropped the samples to 1 and I had cache result and persistent data turned on
Second rendering with persistent data wants to start with more Vram than I have.

I'm running 4.1.1

4.0 and older don't have OIDN - GPU denoising just CPU
