System Information
Operating system: macOS Sonoma 14.4.1
Graphics card: Intel Iris Pro 1536MB / AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2G

Blender Version
Broken: Seemingly all versions above 3.3. Didn't work on the versions I tried: 3.6, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2. This was for both stable and daily versions. Tried for both steam, and from the direct intel download on the blender website, and used the --factory-startup argument.
Worked: 3.3, and potentially versions below.

Short description of error
Blender crashes immediately after execution with a segmentation fault. (logs supplied)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Execute blender on macOS Sonoma, MBP mid 2015, Metal 2.

Intel Iris Pro 1536MB / AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2G

Hi, thanks for the report. Both the GPUs are quite old and I'm bit unsure whether they support metal 2.2

Intel Iris Pro

What is exact GPU model btw? In some iris pro, broadwell and older architecture is used which is not supported in recent blender versions. Can you share system info from the working blender version (3.3): Help > Save system Info

Thanks. Is it failing for a while or started to happen after the OS update for example?

I never got to test Blender on previous versions of macOS, and I haven't ever had it working on Sonoma.
