Blender Version
4.1.0
Short description of error
LoadLibrary failed with error 77: The parameter is incorrect
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Whenever a blender job starts whilst running Theta Edge Node client version 4.7.12, the load library error kicks in.
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).
I have attached log file and screenshot, hope this helps.
Regards
John
I do not know if this is even expected that blender will works in such virtual environment..
i hope u didnt leak any of ur personal details in this report 💀. the amount of details in this report 🤯
Hello Iliya,
I'm not running VM Ware workstation as a bare medtal hypervisor - it is running on Windows. I get the same error whether VMWare is running or not.
Regards
John
Can you check latest 4.2?
I believe the
Theta Edge Node
program you are running is changing some system files that blender may rely onCould you elaborate please?
If you can disable
Theta Edge Node
and blender will be worked this will mean that issue is not in blender.Just shutdown edge node and tried launching blender. This time I got: 'LoadLibrary failed with error 87: The parameter is incorrect'
Any ideas as to next steps please?
Can you run
dxdiag /dontskip /whql:off /64bit /t c:\some\place\you\can\write\dxdiag.txt
and attach the resulting dxdiag.txt? The command will return immediately, but it may take a bit for the file to actually appear on disk
Here you go Ray.
Oof, that's a 14 year old (Terrascale 2 based) GPU, running a 10 year old driver. The blender requirements currently list the lower bar as GCN1 hardware (that be the FirePro Workstation series Wx100 and newer) I'd see if you can swap that out for something newer, your GPU had a good run, it deserves a rest :)
Blimey! I didn't realise it was that old. It's an ex corporate workstation I bought second hand to lab up some Cisco FMC/FTD and other environments.
Thanks for the advice and support - much appreciated!
Regards
John
