Couldn't reproduce in 4.2 or latest 4.3. The file you provided opens and renders just fine here.

Could you check if you have a wrong color management setting? I can get an overexposed look in Standard View Transform, but by default it should be AgX for 4.2 and the highlight should look more reasonable.

Have you manually modified color profiles that came with blender? that could be a problem. Please verify that the color management setting of yours look like the default:

Ok, looks like this was an error on my end. However, I am not able to fix this problem. If you look in my previous bug report I am unable to adjust any of the settings in the color management tab. I can change the exposure to a ridiculous number, no change. I change the view transform, nothing happens. If you have any ideas please let me know. I provided a file.

Hi! Thanks for the additional info. Could you try starting blender with blender_debug_log.cmd (instructions here) and give us whatever log it produces? It could very much be a OpenColorIO problem.

I went through the logs. It is an OpenColorIO Error. I am going to close this bug report however, seeing that this is getting off topic to this "bug" report. I have pasted my error log and we can further discuss this problem here, #123030 (comment)
