System Information
Operating system: windows 10 Version 22H2
Graphics card: RTX3090; also tested at RTX 3080

Blender Version 4.1
Broken: Crash

Short description of error
When selecting all faces of a mesh, than pressing bridge edge loop, followed by "A" blender crashes.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Start with a fresh file with the default cube (or any closed mesh)
  • Enter Edit Mode
  • Select > All
  • Edge > Bridge Edge Loops
  • Select > All (or almost any operator) to trigger the crash

I can reproduce the crash at least in 4.2 and 4.3.

The Bridge Edge Loops operator deletes selected faces without any visual feedback (aside from the message, "Select at least two edge loops"). Toggling edit mode will bring the UI back into sync and show that the faces no longer exist.

  1. Start with a fresh file with the default cube (or any closed mesh)

  2. Enter Edit Mode

  3. Select > All

  4. Edge > Bridge Edge Loops

  5. Select > All (or almost any operator) to trigger the crash
