Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.6.0 NVIDIA 512.15
Blender Version
Broken: version: 4.2.2 LTS Release Candidate, branch: blender-v4.2-release, commit date: 2024-09-12 12:38, hash:
252cc7839f14
Broken: 2.93.18, 3.3.21, 3.6.12
Worked: 2.83.20
Short description of error
mesh boundary incorrectly calculates edges in sculpt mode with multiresolution modifier
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Use any surface. Add a multiresolution modifier and enable mesh boundary. Where the original model has edges, sculpting doesn't work.
Hi, thanks for the report. Can confirm. Also attached .blend file
Sculpting bugto Sculpt: Automasking mesh boundary on multires prevents some vertices from being affected@PratikPB2123 Did you happen to check if this was a regression?
Sculpt: Automasking mesh boundary on multires prevents some vertices from being affectedto Sculpt: Automasking mesh boundary on multires prevents some internal vertices from being affectedReported behavior seems to exist in 2.93, 3.3 LTS, 3.6 LTS, but behaves as expected in 2.8
This problem has been around for a long time and hasn't been fixed yet.
I checked till 3.3, issue remains.
I see, thanks for checking :D
