Group: V 2.49 release
Category: Linux related

%%%I'm trying to update openSUSE factory blender to 2.49a but build fails due to the following uninitialized variables :-
I: Program is using uninitialized variables.

Note the difference between "is used" and "may be used"

W: blender uninitialized-variable extern/bullet2/src/BulletCollision/CollisionShapes/btCylinderShape.cpp:63, 141, 104
W: blender uninitialized-variable extern/bullet2/src/BulletCollision/Gimpact/btTriangleShapeEx.h:158, 159
W: blender uninitialized-variable extern/bullet2/src/LinearMath/btAlignedObjectArray.h:208, 224

I'm attaching extracts from build log relating to above errors and complete build log.
Unfortunately my knowledge of c++ is limited at the moment and I can't find where to initialize said variables.

Using gcc44%%%

%%%Did you use a current SVN?
Try a working SVN like 22016. I did a succesful build but with GCC 4.3.3 on openSuse 11.1 and Py 2.6

%%%Fixes to Bullet you should also send to the Bullet creator ( http://www.bulletphysics.com ). He also periodically updates our version with his work, so applying now here, but not sending to him will result in uninitialized variables later on.

Also, while maybe annoying, these should not be a reason to not release Blender.%%%

Message:
assigning to erwin, would like to try not get out of sync with bullet if we can help it so best apply the fix to both.

So it seems bullet is being taken care of.%%%
