%%%Summary: It seems that there is some bad mojo going on for DPXs generated out of Imagemagick. Tested against Nuke 6v3 which loads the images correctly.

%%%We copied dpx code from CinePaint long ago, and it was never updated since then. The code just fails to recognize the format. Nice todo for future, check imagemagick dpx code and upgrade Blender for it.%%%
