%%%In the Compositor, the Filter Glare node Ghost type doesn't work.

Streak, Fog Glow and Simple Star work perfectly.

I have tested with Blender 2.61 x64 and 2.62 x64.

Windows 7 x64 Pro.
Intel Quad Xtreme QX9650 - 3GHz. 8GB of RAM.
Display card Nvidia GTX260.

Best regards,

%%%Well, I have investigated more, and I noticed that the node works, but only if the source of glare is in an area not too close to the right and left side of the image.
When working on a wide format like 16/9 image, it is a problem. As a comparison, the glare filter of Photoshop allows to put the source on the right and left sides of the image without loosing the halos.%%%

%%%It's not clear to me that it's wrong that the ghosts disappear as they move to the side of the sensor. This is intended to simulate a specific type of lens flare effect, not a full lens flare simulation which is very much dependent on the lens shape anyway and can be very different for each camera.

Maybe an an extra node option could be added to control how quickly the ghosts disintegrate and fade out as they move away from the center.%%%

%%%Philippe Roubal: Can you please re-test with a current test build? Maybe the behaviour changed with Tiles. http://builder.blender.org/download/%%%

%%%Closing report, because of no response from the bug reporter. Also this looks more like a feature request. %%%
