%%%RAID system is not display in append file selection and other file selection of blender as well. RAID system is only displayed when i close blender, switching to file explorer of ubuntu and selecting RAID system. Next open blender and switch to append file selector: then blender is able to show RAID system. Therefore i assume that blender is not able to initialize RAID system file view.

If i restart ubuntu i will have the same problem. Addition all bookmarks of RAID system are deleted in blender because RAID system was not found.%%%

%%%It is automounted. File browser of ubuntu is displaying it.%%%

%%%File browser in ubuntu displays non-mounted partitions as well and as soon as you click on them they're getting mounted. Blender displays only already mounted partitions.
The thing you should check is:

  • reboot computer
  • open terminal
  • type mount to see list of mounted file systems
  • then go to nautilus (ubuntu's file browser) and select your raid partition
  • type mount in the terminal and compare output

Pretty much sure there'll be no raid partition mounted first time and it'll be second time. It might be useful to support from blender but don't think it's indeed a bug, just somethig to improve.%%%

%%%Blender does not manage auto mounting drives,

This could be added but since the feature was never written into blender its not a software bug.

Added to TODO list:
