Short description of error
If an object with modifiers have shared material with other objects, the material disappears or gets wrong in game engine.
This error occures when one of objects have more than one material.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Add a plane mesh, subdivide a polygon into two, apply different materials to each polygon, add solidify modifier.
Add another mesh, apply one of material attached to plane mesh.
Enter game mode. Materials get wrong on plane mesh.

Hi Paul, it's probably best to leave this to the same priority and leave a comment if you can confirm the problem. The purpose of this "needs triage" is so that we can get a quick overview of tasks that developers have not looked at and where they either need to assign the issue or ask for more information and subscribe. It's quite useful when we hear from other users if they can confirm the issue, but the main thing to communicate with this priority is if a developer can redo the problem.

I also can reproduce the error. What's more is that if both objects have the same two materials, no polygons disappear, instead they exchange materials. Here's an example of that: Materials_with_modifiers_bug.blend
