System Information
Windows 7 Pro 64bit / NVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M

Blender Version
Broken: v2.69.11 10f4c62 (v2.7 Testbuild1) (blender-2.70-testbuild1-win64-vc2013.zip)
Worked: v2.69.0 r60995, and v2.69.11 10f4c62 (v2.7 Testbuild1) (blender-2.70-testbuild1-win64.zip)

Short description of error
The characters of the title text at the top of the renderview appear not to be of uniform size (see screenshots below)

Test269_renderviewText.png
Version 2.69.0

Test270_renderviewText.png
Version 2.7 Testbuild1

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Simply run Render (F12) with the default scene.

The win64-vc2013 testbuild was unzipped in a dedicated directory by its own, D:\Blender\blender-2.70-testbuild1-win64-vc2013, not running the Windows installer, and the directories \config, \temp, and \cache where added under D:\Blender\blender-2.70-testbuild1-win64\2.69 to avoid Blender reading data from the user local directory C:\Users[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.69.

The blender-2.70-testbuild1-win64.zip doesn't show this problem.

I think this might be result of freetype version differences. Thx for the detailed report. I will investigate

I am getting this on the 2.70 build.
It seems almost like there is a texture filtering problem.

I've just tested both the "blender-2.70-windows64.zip" and the "blender-2.70-windows64-vc2013_preview.zip" official releases (Hash: 19e627c) and the above illustrated issue seems to be related only to the rendering in a "New Window" and is affecting both versions.

Hi @MartijnBerger, I have just verified this "bug" with the current build of Blender 2.71.5 (Hash: e2c412f) Win64bit and the text characters are now being correctly displayed. If nobody else is experiencing this behaviour I think this bug report could be closed.

Yes, let’s close this one, we can always reopen should someone pop up with the issue again! ;)
