Blender Version
Broken: 2.70 aee3018 and 2.70 official release
Worked: 2.69 r60995

Short description of error
emission output has been increased like 10x in 2.70

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. download the file(unZip it)
  2. if you have 2.69 still installed, then go to the render viewport in cycles
  3. open the same blend file in 2.70, then go to render viewport in cycles
  4. compare the results

Hi,
that is not a bug. You had set "Clamp" to 0.8 in 2.69.

In 2.70 we expanded the setting, so you can now set the Direct and Indirect clamp. This leads to backwards compatibility loss, so you have to enable clamping again. That is noted in our release logs as well, see "Backward compatibility breakage" here: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/Release_Notes/2.70/Cycles
