vertex paint non-painted triangles bug #40944

System Information
Debian testing. Nvidia GTX 660ti

Blender Version
Broken: 2.71, 9337574

Short description of error
Make a stroke from distance and you'll get a bunch of not painted triangles.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
On a file attached the right eyebrow sample has the bug on it. And the left one is for testing.
In vertex paint mode make a stroke on the mesh from the initial distance as you load the file and change camera view. I'll get those triangles immediately.
This behavior occurs when the distance to an object is quite big. I don't know how big it is, but it's when you would like to make an overall rough painting. Like that i guess. As you get closer painting the bug will disappear from some point.
And i think it's somehow related to the lack of ability of the brush to follow the curved surface (or may be not). It's when you paint across a curved surface and the brush is projected directly from camera view onto the faces which normals point towards camera less than 90 deg to the camera view vector . And you get the harsh edges when you move the camera and look over the painted hill.

Known bug, more like a todo. Issue is the way we detect triangles by using display buffer. To solve we need proper PBVH collision detection so it needs something more like a system redesign rather than a bugfix. I'll archive this, I'm planning to solve eventually but current tasks just take time.
