Cycles 3D Viewport Preview crashes after adjusting nodes. #41231

System Information
OS 10.9.1, i5-16GB, Radeon 6670M-512MB

Blender Version
Broken: Hash# 369d96b (buildbot July 25th)

Worked: Hash# 50ca320

Short description of error

This is different from the previous random Viewport Render crashing that was happening with the 2.71 release candidates.

1.) This happens every time I adjust the bottom Diffuse node's brightness for the shader in the attached .blend file.

2.) It does not matter if the 3D Viewport render is active when I adjust the node, it crashes as soon as I adjust the node and reactivate the Viewport render. I tried this half a dozen times and Blender crashed every time.

3.) I applied Load Factory Settings twice then disabled 'Load UI' and opened the scene again and adjusted the node and It crashed again the same as before.

4.) Again, I applied Load Factory Settings twice and added a cube then rebuilt the same shader setup, however this time it did NOT crash. (Maybe there is something going on with the model info???)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Load the .blend, activate the 3D Viewport render and adjust the bottom node's brightness. (adjusting the top node only crashed some of the time)

I just tried BuildBot # 51120ef. Same as above, immediate crash upon adjusting the node.

OSL is off for all versions I've tested.

well, so far nothing else is crashing so there seems to be something in that particular .blend that is revealing some hidden instability.

Hi, do you mean adjusting the bottom node color from black to white?
If so I cant verify.

Opensuse 13.1/64
Intel i5 3770K
GTX 760 4 GB (Display)
GTX 560Ti 1.28 GB 448 Cores
Driver 340.24

Yeah that's what I mean, just adjusting the brightness/darkness slider causes the crash consistently for builds from the past couple weeks

Here's another Viewport Render crash report https://developer.blender.org/T41258

It seems this can be closed. It looks like some other repair fixed this as well. I checked several builds from the past week and they all work fine.
