Keyframes on nodes in group of group don't show in the graph editor and dope sheet #41492

System Information
Windows 7 home, nvidia geforce gt230M

Blender Version
Broken: 2.71, hash: 9337574 (stable version from blender.org)
Worked: I didn't check older versions for this bug

Short description of error
In the node editor, one can put keyframes on most parameters, however when such a node is placed in a group, within another group (so 2 levels), then the keyframe channel no longer shows in the graph editor, dope sheet or NLA editor. The keyframes stil work, animation is fine, but graph editor is empty.

Remark: I found and tested the bug with keyframes, but a friend of mine claimes that there is something similar with drivers. I can ask for more information on this if needed.

Remark 2: I tested this for both compositing nodes and material nodes. Same problem in both cases. It is also independent of BI or Cycles

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Starting from a new file: go to node editor, add in a random node and put a keyframe on a random parameter. Pull up the graph editor as well, the keyframe will show up. Then, put the node in a group, still works fine, then put it into another group, keyframe vanishes from the graph editor.

BlendegGroupingBug.blend
In the attached file, I used 3 mix nodes and keyframed the color in all three. The first node is not in a group, the second is in 1 group, the third is in 2 groups, Selecting each of the nodes will show the keyframes, except for the third case.

I am new to the phabricator and searched both the bug and todo section for this and didn't find anything. Could you please indicate which todo you are refering to?

@NickVandenBroeck there's also a todo list in blender's wiki, see here: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:2.5/Source/Development/Todo/Editors#AnimEditors

I also was stumped by this bug, but when I tried to find it in the todo at the link above, I got a "page not found" message. Do any of the subscribers or assignees know if it still exists as a todo? Thanks!
