System Information
Win 8.1 x64

Blender Version
Tested on Blender 2.71 Hash:9337574
with 2 different systems

Short description of error
I build a game on BGE, controlled with an Gamepad/joystick but i'm unable to
create a HUD/pause-menu because the joystick-button-sensor dosn't listen
on an overlayed Scene

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Fullcopy a default Scene.

Main Scene:
Add an always sensor on the Cube to an "overlay Scene" actuator.

Overlayed Scene:
Add an test GameProperty to the cube and let it display by "show debug Propertis"
Add an joystick button sensor on the cube to an property toggle actuator.

If you start the game engine, the property don't react to the gamepad or realy² bearly.

Greetings from Germany

Brodkar

After some tests I realised that the joystick button sensoronly listen on the last Background Scene.
unnecessary with is the Main Scene.

To solve the problem I think I have to build a background scene that handels all my HID inputs an transfers
Propertys to the "HUD" and "game" Scene.

I think this isn't realy a BUG.

If you Suspend the Background Scene, the Sensors start to listen on the overlayed Scene.
So its posible to build a PauseMenu.

Its just a Info for people with the same Problem.

Hi Brodkar,

I think that the procedure that you describe for pause-menu is the logical one. I mean, pausing main scene and using overlay scene for setting with the joystick events tranferred.

Closing the report. Thanks for reporting.
