System Information
Windows 8 64-bit
8 GB RAM
and Nvidia Geforce GT 630

Blender Version
Broken: 2.72b Hash: 9e963ae

iPhone video 120fps in VSE incorrect frames decoded

sorry, I downloaded the current version on the blender site, ( I live in South Africa) and it is the Hash:9e963ae version? perhaps you have already fixed this glitch.

I've tried this on 3 pc's with the Hash:95182d1, and installed latest blender, issue still persists

iPhone 5s,OS ver 8.1(12B411). Open Camera to take picture, set to SLO-MO setting (120fps). Record video eg. 10sec long.

Connect iPhone to computer via USB, open internal storage folder, access DCIM folder, copy paste video to folder C:\Users\David\Videos\iphone\5S

Open Blender 2.72b,
In render options, dimensions / frame rate: set as 30fps
Select Video Editing screen layout. In VSE, add / movie.
after adding the video,eg. it should show the audio as the correct 10sec strip, and the video with 40sec long strip.

Now it shows audio of 10sec strip and video of 15min (screen shot attached{F122360})
( exact frame length of audio 338, and video frame length 26984)
Previous video from iPhone 5s 120fps I inserted as reference above
I then reaslised I had updated my iPhone from 8.0 to 8.1, and it probably is the issue of encoding/format of the video saved
I tested the older 120fps videos and they work, and if i record a 120fps video now, it shows the video strip very long and when scrubbing through the video it is out of sync with frame counter and glitches back a few frames

Trying to fix it with the "speed control" effect strip to try and match ( audio frame length x 4 = 1352 frames ) when rendering to video, frames are dropped.
I suspect that iPhone update changed the formatting or encoding of the file format .mov , and blender maybe doesn't recognise it.

It worked before and have the older video clips at 120fps that insert correctly and are accurately "slotted" into the VSE, it is recently when I inserted the newer 120fps videos that it shows an exponential length in the VSE strip.

Tried attaching sample video,error_uploading.JPG error uploading video (22mb)
Made very short recording (2.8mb) and tested it in blender again, same issue persists
Audio strip length 49 frames
Video strip length 4853 frames
IMG_4444.MOV

This is the first time I am reporting a bug.
Is there any other info you require

This is expected behavior currently, Blender does not do any mapping from video FPS to scene FPS, it’s up to you to handle this.

Thanks for the report, but this is considered TODO, not bug.

Ok, thank you
Was unsure why it used to work , and the newer ones didn't
