I import a collada body mesh with armature, converted from another format from a game, but all seems correct. Then without touching nothing in blender I export again to collada. Then I reimport the collada blender exported file and then armature appears lying in floor and very very small: It's a blender problem{F137156} or not?
Thanks a lot

This is normal, because blender is Zup and imports Yup collada files with rotating the armature 90° about the X axis. Also if you don't check "import units" at the import setting, it will be really small. Fix for this is scaling the armature up to 1 or reimporting it with checked "import units" setting and at export just rotate the armature -90° about the X axis.

This issue is a bit odd. The root object is an Empty with scale and rotation.
The armature and its children are parented to that root empty.
When you export the root empty and all its children, then Blender actually
exports exactly what you see.
But when you only export the armature without the root item, then the
armature is exported without applying the root transforms.
I believe this is actually intended behavior.
I think the correct way to export this item is like:
when you follow this procedure, then the resulting dae file
is correct. At least when i inspect the imported dae file
it creates the exact replica of the original armature.
Closing as invalid as it does not seem to be a bug.
