Broken: (2.73.5 d56c9fb)
Worked: (2.72optional)

In 2.73a and in current daily Build d56c9fb we cannot place vertices in middle polys when we use knife tool, in 2.72 we can in 2.73 cannot. Here video explain what i mean. http://youtu.be/laCTrCqyGr4

Maybe it is only under windows. It works fine under ubuntu 14.04 64bits with 2.73a and master hash 8cd106f.

Knife change between 2.73 and 2.72 is the ability to cut without releasing LMB.
But I am still able to add line points by several LMB clicks like in 2.72.

Checked the video but not sure what issues you run into, as far as I could tell it was working properly.

I expect that knife tool excepting new functionality in 2.73 work same as in 2.72. In video i show that in 2.72 it freely place points in middle of polys in 2.73 NOT place. Just try place points in middle of poly and you cant.

Tested and adds the points, where my mouse is. can you explain what happens?

In 2.72 (i special download 2.72a for record video) i freely can place (left click in any place of poly place point in 2.73 not place) point in middle(or any place which not edge) of poligons - this is shown in video.

In 2.73a (oficial releace) and curently 8cd106f(just now downloaded) i just do same - by left click try place vertex in any place that NOT edge or vertex - and cant place - just do not put. And this is show in video in second part.

I am surprised that it only bothers me. Even if everything is OK in Linux. It is not clear who is really all on Windows do not see this glitch?

Removal properties helps.
Sorry for my stupidity.

I did not do anything special with the properties. just moved as usual with a button on Splash screen from 2.72 to 2.73 and in 2.72 all work with the same settings - but it does not matter. Again Sorry for my stupidity.

Hehe, the userpref system can be confusing and can do funny things, so no need to excuse yourself ;)

PS: Understood the issue wrong, so after testing again I wasn't able to reproduce as well. So ignore my previous comment.
