Cannot confirm that here (linux64)… does it happen if you start blender in factory settings mode (
--factory-startup
commandline option)? No it does not crash with --factory-startup
So something in my startup that causes the crash...
Any idea how to easily compare the factory startup to mine?

I’d suggest looking first at addons (assuming you already checked Undo settings in User preferences, Editing tab). Note all your enabled addons, then start for factory settings, and re-enable those addons, one at a time, and find when crashes appear again.
Right, I'll do that and let you know if I find the offending addon, or other setting that causes the crash.
Seems like MBDyn addon (https://github.com/gdbaldw/BlenderAndMBDyn) was the cause, no crashes after disabling that addon.
Changed status from 'Open' to: 'Archived'
OK, thanks, then I suggest you report the bug to the author of that addon. :)
