System Information
Operating system and graphics card

Blender Version
Broken: (example: 2.69.7 4b206af, see splash screen)
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error

Clear Render Border has no menu item in 3D View

Render Border has no menu item in 2D View
Clear Render Border has no menu item in 2D View

Render border doesn't draw a red rectangle in 2D View. Not sure about this issue though. The red border could indeed disturb. And in 3D view it has the red rectangle.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps

No Blend file necessary. Open Blender. Switch to camera view. In 3D View click at menu item Render Border in the View menu. Define a rectangle to render. Press F12. Now try to clear the render border by menu. Mission impossible. Menu item not existent. In 2D View both menu items are missing. But hotkey functionality is there.

Attached image explains the issue even better.

Now, as for UI and usability..

Think i'll agree clearing render border bakes sense to be added to the viewport menu.

Displaying red border in the image editor is a bit of an overkill. You kind of aware of this anyway. What i'm not sure about here is whether we should really have it a code feature to define a render border from the image editor. It was a nice experiment, but seems so far only used during development? In this case we can re-implement as an addon enabled by developers.

If we'll keep such feature, it makes sense to add it to the menu perhaps.

@JulianEisel, mind having a look here?

Well, most users will most probably not even know this feature exists in UV Editor. It has no menu entry ^^

I find it nice to have :)

@Sergey, menu's already rather full, patch P322 adds this

@Sergey, menu's already rather full, patch [P322](https://archive.blender.org/developer/P322.txt) adds this

Since render border set, clear menu items are next to clipping border...

Noticed behavior of Clipping border is a toggle.

We could expose render border as toggle too, if border's visible, clear, else set.
Menu item would need to check R_BORDER or V3D_RENDER_BORDER.
