The cursor frame counter that displays while rendering is minuscule on a 4K screen, regardless of the DPI setting in Blender

The cursor looks on OS X 10.11, but this code is quite platform specific so not really surprising that it would be a Windows only issue.
I guess this happens with OpenGL animation render? It's one of the few places that uses this counting cursor still. It's tempting to remove this time cursor entirely rather than spend time fixing it.
You got it man, it's OGL. If thats it it seems like removing would be best indeed :)

We cannot remove it until we provide better solution for python (it’s used for the 'report progress' thingy for py scripts).
