I should update: with Crimson ReLive Edition 16.12.2 and todays build

  • Tested defaut startup scene with glossy material on cube

First render went fine on GPU compute. No errors.
Then I changed roughness in glossy material and opened viewport shading.
Second render crashed.

Either your tile size is set too large and your device is running out of memory or this is a driver issue. Try decreasing the tile size and check that you have the latest drivers. Theres not really anything we can do to fix this, so im going to close the report.

I have latest drivers: Crimson ReLive Edition 16.12.2.
I have opened thread with Crimson ReLive Edition 16.12.1.

I have 7870 2gb card. 8GB RAM. You can see in first screen that peak memory is 4.55M
Decreasing or increasing the tile size doesn't change the crash in second render.

If I close Blender and open it again, first render is OK.
Then if I change roughness in glossy material and I open viewport shading, second render crashes.
