Short description of error
When using Oculus Legacy mode for the Virtual Reality Viewport, which is the only functional option for OSX at this time as Oculus has decided to not update the drivers for OSX, the viewport flashes constantly like it has a very slow refresh rate. Additionally 2d elements like text and menus get burned in so it becomes impossible to work because all of the old menus "stay open" even though they are actually closed and occlude the viewport. The same goes for the 3d grid.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Start with a blank blender state on OSX. Enable the VR plugin and set the mode to Oculus Legacy. Open up the viewport tab in the tool shelf and follow those steps.

This is not an add-on that is maintained in our repository so we can't take bug reports on it , you'll have to take it up with whomever made it.
closing.
Huh intersting. So just because it's bundled with blender doesn't mean it's maintained by the blender community? I didn't know that.
it's not bundled add-on as far as i'm able to tell?
You know what, I think that is my mistake. I forgot that some time ago blender started importing add-ons that previous versions had installed. I must have forgotten that I had manually installed it once. Thanks for the correction ^_^
There is some work going on in the HMD_viewport branch that might be relevant to you, but you'll have to build it your self as it's still under development
