I am not sure if I understand correctly:

  • Front Ortho is the view from negative Y-axis
  • could you be more specific as to what your expectations are when you say 'flipped by 180 degrees'
  • I dont see any corrupt misssing faces...
  • when I open provided .blend file, everything seems as expected here

Have you checked with factory settings?

Marking as incomplete for the time being...

Hi Philips, thanks for your answer!

I tried to descrive the problem as best I can, I am sorry if I did unsecesfull, I'll try with an image.

BugOrtho.jpg

As in the blend file, you can see a mesh with a face selected. Pressing z to switch in solid mode the selected face is no more visible, because the mesh was flipped by 180 degrees on the z axis.
I tried with the factory settings with the same result and experimented the bug on 3 pc.

Ciao, Alberto

I believe you have been tricked by an optical illusion - I hope this short video clarifies it for you :)

@chnuspi1234 : thx for making that clearer :)
@Axa3D : left hand side of your screenshot the face is also 'back' (you just see right through in wireframe)
reg. missing faces: I think that video makes it clear?

Closing (feel free to comment again if further questions remain...)
