Running windows 7 with an nvidia geforce gtx 570 graphics card
using blender version 2.79
upgraded blender to get smoke and fire support for gpu renders, but when attempting to render a smoke and fire simulation using my gpu i get the following error "CUDA error: Not found in cuModuleGetTexRef(&texref, cuModule, bind_name.cstr()), line 710"
Have tried to render with both supported and experimental feature set
have attached my blend here
burningcop.blend1

there was #52660, fixed by
c10ea88420
.If that doesnt fix it:
Marking as incomplete until we have an answer on these questions.
i am already on a daily build
my nvidia drivers are updated
will try 2.79b as well and report back
still getting this error with 2.79b

doesn't look like that fix ever made it into 2.79b, and daily build shouldn't even list the fermi card as available anymore since support was dropped for it. so yeah.. that's kind of a rough spot to be in.
so basically i'm screwed unless i get a new graphics card?
other gpu renders work fine though...
Changed status from 'Open' to: 'Archived'
fermi support was indeed dropped recently, see #54295,
2eaf90b305
.as @LazyDodo said, your card should even be listed as device anymore in daily builds?
Anyways that leaves us with 2.77 onwards (when smoke and fire on GPU was added ) , but apparently this had the bug #52660 for fermi...
If you're building your own blender, you could try checking out
c10ea88420
(which has the fix, but fermi wasnt dropped at that point in time)Other than that, I'm not sure how we could help further, I'm afraid.
Archiving this, feel free to comment again if there are issues remaining...
