Blender Version
Broken: 2.8 Aplha 2 2018-09-24 20-26
Worked: 2.79

Short description of error

Grabbing bones and bone handles not working as previously in Blender 2.79. When you grab them, they rotate in a weird way, and after you release the bone, it teleports to another location/rotation

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Grab bone handles(IK) and move them around(G key). when you move the hand, the rest of the arm moves(at least in 7.9, due to constraints)
  2. You will notice the grab action does not work as expected, the bone only rotates around a nonsense axis, instead of rotating around its head.
  3. The bone rotates in a weird way, and the other bone does not follow it(bone with constraint), the mesh does not deform too, until the point you release the bone in the new location. The mesh affected by the bone that is connected to the moved bone deforms while you move it. When you release it in place, the whole arm moves.

Observations:
When you move a handle that should move a deformation bone, It only rotates, and their child moves. The weird thing is that the deformation bone does not follow the handle properly in this case. The handle goes ahead of the bone that copies its rotation.

Looks like an issue with Auto IK in 2.8 (file from the report is using it [see Pose Options] but video shows it being used in the FK scenario of the rig-- if I turn this off FK seems to behave as expected, if you slide the rig properties to IK and use the IK controler, this also seems to behave as expected...)

Anyways, will have a quick look at the code now...

Yep. Tested here. Disabling auto ik makes it work, but works without auto ik.

took a bit of digging, but seems to be caused by a typo in 5d628c519b.
@ideasman42: D3751 should fix it?
