Short description of error

The wireframe mode works like a hack of the X-ray mode. Makes 'lines with weird points' instead of lines, seems to be affected by distance (depth) what results thickness differences what makes it pretty unusable for dense projects (imagine a building with several levels, tons of objects need to be adjusted in top view, etc.)

To me it seems to be a big degradation compared to 2.7x.

Suggestion: please solve somehow to get back the AA-less, Depth-independent, fully selectable old wireframe module. Thanks

After b4dfe00fd6 you can now drag the X-ray slider to zero to get full occluded lines.

Further we can still improvement wireframe drawing in some ways, but that's not handled as a bug, it's ongoing work in the viewport.
