Annotation issue;
When searching "cmd+f" for "annotation draw" clicking with the mouse to confirm selection works fine,
But when confirming selection with ENTER gives no result.
Annotations Bug 2.mp4

Not sure if this should be fixed or not. There are a bunch of things that act strangely when you use the operator search feature en enable them. Do we consider this a bug or not?
To use Annotation, either enable Annotation in the toolbar, or hold the D key and draw. You can also map the annotation tool to any key you like.

I remember something about this before. The problem is the annotation modal operator is not designed to be used from search menu, so not sure if we can consider this a bug also.
@antoniov Rather than fixing this obscure way of enabling Annotate, perhaps there's a way to ensure that operators aren't entered into the search menu?
In any case, I don't think this is a high priority, and in fact another example of why it was generally a good thing to demote the operator search feature from the Space key - there are too many items in it that plainly don't work in certain contexts.

@WilliamReynish I not totally sure, but maybe all modal operators can't be used from search menu, so we could filter the list checking that value (modal callback not NULL), but this is a question for core developers, maybe @brecht.
Removing all modal operators is too drastic, there are many that work fine from the search menu.
The
OPTYPE_INTERNAL
flag can be used to hide specific operators from the search menu.I just tried the flag OPTYPE_INTERNAL, but the problem is when use the tool in the toolbar, I get a Tooltip error, so we cannot set this flag now.

It's kind of confusing why we have so many combinations with hardcoded keys in the Annotation Tool.
I think that now with the new tool system many of these key conditions could be removed.
Some could also be converted to modal keymaps.
Here is a fix for this problem. Don't capture
event->val == KM_RELEASE
condition for these "special" keys:This issue was referenced by
