Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

I think you forgot to attach the file?
Whoop, first time posting a bug, I think it's attached now.
I can reproduce the problem, I'll have a look.

Hi there! Just curious if there has been any movement on this item.

Interesting (This is CPU+GPU rendering). Will look into it.
Yes- it is an OpenCL specific issue it seems.
Seems to be that the issue is not inside the IES node, But that the (default texture normal coordinates are not correct on the OpenCL device
The grey tiles are rendered by the OpenCL GPU device, the Colors are tiles rendered by a CPU device.
When no the IES node is not connected, it loads the Normal which are incorrect.

@Jeroen-Bakker Thank you for fixing this bug! I really appreciate it.
I’m sorry... I’m still not understanding how to get this to work. I have the new version of 2.8, have connected the ies texture node to the color node and it still doesn’t work correctly. When I jump between CPU and GPU render the ies texture is clearly not mapping correctly.
Can someone upload a screengrab of the correct node structure inside the point light?
I’m sorry, please ignore my last comment... it appears I had the nodes setup incorrectly. I will respond again if I am seeing the same issues.
It totally works. Thank you so much!
