Coplanar faces (edit mode, shift-g/coplanar) finds parallel faces in other planes #61799

System Information
Operating system: Windows 7 pro
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series

Blender Version
Broken: blender-2.80.0-git.1af810b4ff17-windows64 and older 2.8 betas I tried.

Worked: blender 2.79

Start with starting cube, go to edit mode,
select top face of cube (other faces give similar bad results) and
hit shift-g, select coplanar and the face on the other side of the selected
one gets selected as well.. parallel, but not in the same plane :(

On more complex objects (extrude some faces in some directions and try again for example)
only some of the parallel (non-coplanar) faces get selected, not all..

Interesting fact: move the cube in one axis and the bug goes away for this axis only:
Move the starting cube up (g z 1) and the bug goes away for top (and bottom) face,
still there for left, right, front, back faces..

Based on the default startup.
Good luck finding this one - and best wishes from Vienna/Austria!

More info after some experiments:
The wrong faces seem to be in the parallel plane on the other side of the origin
(same normal distance to origin, but opposite sign).
