If the system locks up to the point you have to reset/power cycle it, and if it happens in 2.79b as well as 2.80, then you almost certainly have an OS or hardware or driver issue, not a Blender bug.

Thanks for the answer Gavin.
(I'm sorry but I don't express myself well in English.)
I have tried both with Windows 10 pro (clean installation) and with Linux of other distributions, the error repeats itself, I have left various tools of graphic tests and all passed. I do not know what to look for other programs do not give me problems only blender.

Does the problem exist even with the default Blender scene (cube) or is it limited to more complex scenes?

Does Cycles CPU mode work OK (assuming the problem is that it's failing when using the GPU)?

Are you able to run 3D games or GPU benchmarks that put a real load on the GPU? If there's any question of that I would make sure that your system's power supply is sufficient and that a 6-pin auxiliary power cable is securely connected to the GTX 1060.

If possible try swapping out the video card for a different one to see if that's where the problem is.

Hello!
1 with the base cube set Cycles I press CTRL Z and leaving the preview at 32 after a few movements the system is blocked, if the down to 1 or 2 everything works (like preview).
crashes whether I select render from CPU or Cuda GPU.
the bios warns me if the 6pin video card connector is disconnected (I checked). the computer's power supply is oversized
I don't have the possibility to try another Graphics card.

in a month I'll get a 1080 11gb nvidia (I hope).
but I wanted to be sure that it wasn't a configuration problem (I had read that some graphics cards have bios problems)
I have been using blender for a few years now and it only gives me this problem.

are there any settings I can try?
thanks again for your interest

This sounds like a hardware configuration issue, which we can't solve in Blender and it's not the kind of support we do here.
