Rigid body doesn't work well #64630

System Information
Operating system: Darwin-18.2.0-x86_64-i386-64bit 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M OpenGL Engine NVIDIA Corporation 4.1 NVIDIA-12.0.21 355.11.10.50.10.103

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.80 (sub 60), branch: blender2.7, commit date: 2019-05-07 19:17, hash: 3dc9da3a74
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
Rigid body seems not to work well on my computer. If I add force field with an empty and I want it to interact with the Rigid body, it doesn't work sometimes. It looks like the cache doesn't empty itself. I tried to empty it manually through the Rigid Body cache (clear cache) but it doesn't work.

The only way I found, is to reload the file and then the force field interact with the rigid body correctly. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't.

I first thought it was a normal behaviour but then I launched the old version of blender (2.79) and I worked perfectly fine on it.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Add sphere and apply rigid body on active mode
Add empty with force field harmonise
Change the strength of the harmonise
Play the animation each time you change the harmonise value and something weird appends.
Seems like the cache doesn't work well.

not only that but loks like changing force field values are like keyed, i changed while animating some options and let play and suddenly they switching back and forth in middle of animation...

in this 2.8 blend file Force field BUG.blend select wind force field and roate lleft right many times and then right click to stop. you will see that while animating continues to play. the rigid body is like recorded / animated. and not updating anymore except you click on values in rigid body world in property window or just select object and grab and release , this also makes update the force field values.
not sure but on 2.79 feels more respinsive and faster.

here same file on 2.79 to compare Force Field wind test 2.79.blend

i reported this too it was many months like that before... https://developer.blender.org/T64493
