Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Short description of error
Not so much an error but had a cylinder with 60 subdivisions with bevel and subdivision modifier and blender closed.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

So you can't reproduce this yourself again?
Not 100% however doing the same thing it crashed again seemed it did it when I was trying to undo some steps so I could delete and applied modifier. Maybe the subvision count was too high and blender and/or my pc couldn't handle it and crashed not sure if it's a bug of some kind or just one of those things pc's like to do.
Is there any crash log I can copy and paste?
Are you using the latest build from here? https://builder.blender.org/download/
I'm using RC2
Added subscriber: @blablaalb
I also had blender 2.8 rc2 crashed unexpectedly when I added a constraint to a bone. I recovered the session from auto-save and wasn't able to reproduce the issue afterward.
Can you please try the non RC build?
Can do, probably a stupid question but is the RC build not more stable than the latest beta build or is the beta build still be updated with bug fixes from the reports of the RC build?
Tried it in the latest Beta build (non RC) and same thing happened. Seems I can replicate it.
Can you provide the exact steps to make it crash. So for example:
Sometimes seems to be when I try to undo. Sometimes if I press ctrl Z a few times it crashes especially after doing something like applying a modifier. Doesn't always happen though even when spamming ctrl Z which is when it usually crashes.
Ok, but can you tell me the exact steps?
I might be to do with the undo operation as it's crashed when undoing other things too especially when I spam ctrl Z. It's as if it can't undo as quickly as I'm pressing ctrl Z.
I still can't reproduce this. Does this happen if you do a factory reset?
On what blender or my computer? I mean it could be an issue with an Addon maybe. Is there no crash log?
Added subscriber: @SpectreFirst
I think I can sort of reproduce something like that with consistency but the problem is the exact steps because it requires pressing Ctrl+Z quickly several times in a row, otherwise it just performs a normal Undo and not the crash.
Aha, so clicking in the viewport is key to get it to crash?
I think I might be able to reproduce this.
Added subscriber: @GavinScott
I can reproduce the crash on Windows using those latest instructions on the current master branch.
Added subscriber: @Sergey
I can also reproduce on linux:
Assert:
If I ignore the assert I get this segfault.
Backtrace:
@Sergey I'm guessing that the depsgraph is in an invalid state when you try to select in the viewport while the undo system is doing its thing? (Feel free to reassign as usual)
@ZedDB, you can't just disable asserts, they are there for a very good reason...
Do you have backtrace of assert itself handy?
Here you have the backtrace to the assert:
My guess here is that it is due to undo and select operators being handled in the same event loop iteration, so the selection does not receive proper dependency graph even though it is supposed to.
Unfortunately, me and Sebastian couldn't reproduce the crash on my computer yet. Here is a possible fix for the problem: P1050
@ZedDB, can you test it on your computer?
@Sergey that patch seems to do the trick. I can't get it to crash anymore.
