UV Editor select and deselect

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Select and Deselect on UV Editor I am tried select become orange and deselect become other color but not work for me to view.
Look strange vertex should not make black vertex.

Hum! Looking very strange/odd behavior, I can't even deselects vertices in UV Editor

I think, the problem in causing Blender 2.81. tried the latest version too 2.81 (sub 3) 6bb2912704
Note: Blender 2.80 stable version seems to work fine:

Somehow, the problem is with the file too..
Can you reproduce such type of bug/error in another file? or you have any thoughts about how it is happens?

There FBX import to Blender 2.80 it work on UV Editor select and deselect.
There FBX import to Blender 2.81 doesn't work on UV Editor select and deselect.

Same here! Import provided .fbx file in 2.81 same UV Selection problem but in 2.80 seems works fine

  • after making couple of other tests, I think, finally the prob is with the Blender 2.81 .fbx importer

This is not tied to the FBX importer, it is the "Auto Smooth" mesh normals setting breaking the UV Editor.
This has been reported before in #69051 and already is high on the priority list.

Will merge these reports...
