Curve/Point doesn't get generated at Cursor. #71782

System Information
Operating system: Windows 7, Windoes 8.1
Graphics card: ANY (CPU included)

Blender Version
Broken: 2.80+
Worked: 2.79b

Short description of error
Curve/Point doesn't get generated at Cursor.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

(optional steps - just skip steps 1-5 and just move the cursor anywhere)
1- Add a Cylinder to an empty scene.
2- TAB to enter EDIT mode.
3- Select one ring loop (at on of its ends, for instance).
4- Shift+S, Cursor to Selected.
5- Exit EDIT mode.

(mean step)

6- Add a Curve/point.

The point is ALWAYS generated at the WORLD ORIGIN,
instead of being properly generated at the current CURSOR LOCATION.

This is really annoying.

Workaround
In OBJECT mode, with the point selected, press SHIFT+S, Selection to Cursor.
This will FINALLY(!!) move the curve to the 3D Cursor.
Which SHOULD HAPPEN by default.

This works, but... how annoying is that?
I hoped it was fixed in 2.81 (by the way, this release is even worse than 2.80!!), but, no: no hope.

Conclusion
2.79b was way better.

I could render up to to 6 millions triangles on my laptop.
Only up to 1.5 tris with 2.80 on the same machine.
Even less with 2.81.

Sorry for saying this, but...
I had great expectations for the 2.8x series, but I'm so much disappointed.

Yes, EVEE is nice, but!! At what price!!!!

Now I'm seriously considering to somehow switch back to 2.79b.
But some files are compromised due to the format incompatibility.

Which disappoints me even more.

Best regards.

I did not mean to be rude or offensive (so, please, don't even think that).
But allow me to be bittered by such a rough experience I'm having with the so much bespoke (and awaited) "new era" of Blender.

The issue is with an add-on (Add Curve: Extra Objects), not Blender itself.
