Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Currently you can use Alt Left/Right to change spacing while in text edit-mode.
However there is no way to adjust this without knowing this shortcut.
We could have a "Kerning" menu with an operator to increase/decrease kerning as well as a reset operator.

Just had a few queries. I added a Panel in the "Paragraph" section to show the kerning of the current character ( visible only in edit mode). I added this in the python file : blender/release/scripts/startup/bl_ui/properties_data_curve .py
This only shows us the kerning of the current character and cannot change it as the python API doesn't have the ability to change it's value. So how should I proceed from this point. I read in the documentation that we can use operators(bpy.ops) or the data access(bpy.data). Is this the right way?
Completing this task involves adding
bpy.ops.font.change_spacing
to the Font menu along with a new operator that would reset the kerning value to0
. SeeFONT_OT_change_spacing
